Newspapers in Action Feature

In late November, NIE did a Sunday feature on my recent works and how being an alumni of Florida Atlantic University (Go Owls) has affected me and my career.  We were so flattered by the write up, we included it on the web site.

New Art
Acrylic 40 x 30

Hours earlier, the Royal Navy lay in wait for what they saw as an opportunity for a timely ambush against the "Brethren of the Coast". This quiet cove on the Jamaican coast was the ideal place to catch the already heavy laden galleon as it slowly headed for some overdue spending in Old Port Royale.

Much to their surprise, the ambush became their own demise. Hearing of the possible attack, the buccaneers loaded the long 9's and came from the opposite direction. With barely anything other than a warning shot across the bow, and the raising of a Jolly Roger, the Navy knew it would not be a formidable opponent. After less than an hour, they were proven correct.

Already stripped of its cargo, arms, and crew, this band of scallywags decide to send a very loud "message to the queen"; straight down to Davy Jones, himself.

Mothers Love

Spirits
Technically, not a painting but a mural closeup. However, I have some manatee fans that say he should be here. So, here he is!
